Shedding Fear

Shedding Fear

After you've ran on water, you realize that nothing is impossible! I felt my feet leave the ground and although I was running I couldn't feel anything. I kept my eyes closed and slowly peered at the ocean beneath me. A beautiful turquoise ocean against a comparable blue sky took my breath away. I told myself to breathe and take in the scenery. I embraced this five minute ride with a smile and a conversation with God. It was at this moment that everything became crystal clear. I wasn't afraid of anything, not death or heights; nothing could harm me. I was floating through the air, gliding if you will. I watched fear escape my fingertips as I now desired to let go of my parachute and enjoy the ride as my guide steered. I eventually came down from my dream ride and softly landed in the ocean. As I landed I was scooped up by some very helpful men, but like a phoenix I arose without fear or concerns for anything out of my control.

Thailand was an amazing time for me. I popped my cherry on swimming in the ocean without a life vest, parasailed and got over my fear of flying. The work that God did on my mind can't be described. I was truly humbled on Karon Beach. This is why  love traveling. If you are truly conscience of the moment you will shed the old you like a snake coming out of hibernation and truly grow into something more fitting of you. For me this was leaving fear behind. What does your new skin look like?
