Black in China

Black in China

The question I am often asked is what is it like living in China. Honestly, it is like living in a fishbowl. Yesterday, I attended a church picnic with people from over 80 different nations, most of whom have brown skin. As we made our way to the picnic area the Chinese citizens began video recording us and taking photos. As we sat and ate they stared and continued to take photos and record us. I have never desired fame and after living here I never want to experience it. Below is a short video of what my experience is like. While this video is not all encompassing it gives a true and general idea of what it means to be Black in China.

Let me know your struggle in the comments and how you handle it.
